ABOUT PROFHILO
Profhilo is an anti-wrinkle injectable treatment that works by hydrating the skin and encouraging the production of collagen and elastin.
Profhilo is a useful treatment for the mid and lower face, as well as other body areas, including the neck, decolletage knees or hands.
Profhilo involves injecting a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid into the skin to add hydration and firmness to sagging skin.
A Profhilo treatment session at Clinic Dr Dray typically takes around 15 minutes. For the best results, we recommend you undertake a second treatment after one month. To maintain results, we recommend repeat treatments every six months.
Profhilo can be used in various applications. Whilst commonly used in the face, a new product called PROFHILO BODY allows us to target target skin laxity on the neck, décolletage, hands, upper arms, abdomen, and buttocks.
The benefits of Profhilo include intense hydration, making the skin glow, and fine lines disappear. You’ll notice smoother, tighter skin.
Profhilo has proved to be very safe, being utilised worldwide. To minimize any risks, all of our doctors are highly trained and experienced, ensuring a smooth and effective treatment process.
The results from Profhilo treatment can last up to 6 months. To maintain these results, repeat treatments every six months are recommended.
We use Profhilo on various body parts, including the face, neck, décolletage, hands, upper arms, abdomen, and buttocks.
Facial rejuvenation
Profhilo offers a non-invasive solution to facial rejuvenation, targeting fine lines and wrinkles while improving skin tone and elasticity. By stimulating collagen growth, Profhilo can restore the scaffolding of the face, providing a more plump, firm, and youthful appearance without altering the shape of the face.
Body treatments
Profhilo’s ability to hydrate and stimulate collagen production makes it an excellent choice for tackling crepey, loose skin and improving skin tone and texture.
Profhilo is commonly administered with a small needle, placing small boluses of product throughout the treatment area. Depending on the treatment plan you choose, Profhilo can be combined with other products, such as biostimulation.
To ensure optimal results, a minimum of two treatment sessions of Profhilo, spaced four weeks apart, is recommended. Depending on your individual skin type, a third session may be advised, which would take place eight weeks after the second one.
Following the initial 2-3 sessions, it is advised to schedule a single treatment every 3-6 months to maintain the desired outcome. This personalized approach ensures that your skin receives the most effective treatment, tailored to your unique needs and concerns.
YOUR PROFHILO TREATMENT JOURNEY
During the consultation, your doctor will devise a personalised treatment plan and address any questions you may have.
Topical anaesthetic will be applied for 10-15 minutes before the treatment for additional comfort.
The Profhilo syringe is injected into precise locations into your skin using specific aesthetic points.
In the treatment area, you may feel a small bump under the skin; this will reduce in a few hours. Specific post-treatment advice will be supplied during your visit to the clinic.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
How does profhilo differ from dermal fillers?
While both Profhilo and dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, Profhilo does not have the same thick viscosity as a dermal filler. Profhilo has a different structure and is more liquified. The product spreads out evenly in the treatment target area to improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity.
What results can be expected from the profhilo treatment?
After Profhilo treatment, your skin will be more hydrated and smoother. The full effect of collagen and elastin stimulation will be visible after six weeks following your first treatment, with the best results appearing 4-6 weeks after your second treatment.
Can I return to my normal activities after the treatment?
Yes, you can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment. However, we recommend avoiding strenuous activities for 24 hours post-treatment.
Is the Profhilo treatment painful?
To undertake treatment with Profhilo, it does involves some injections using a small needle, so you may feel a slight discomfort. However, the procedure is generally well-tolerated, and a topical anaesthetic can be applied beforehand to minimise any discomfort.
Are there any side effects of the profhilo treatment?
As with all injectable treatments, there some small side effects can be seen. Side effects after Profhilo can include redness, bruising, or swelling. These side effects are usually temporary and should resolve within a few days.
Who should have the Profhilo treatment?
Profhilo treats signs of skin ageing, such as loss of elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles. It’s also an excellent treatment for those who want to improve the overall health and hydration of their skin.
What is the timeline for results from Profhilo?
For optimal results, two Profhilo treatments are recommended, spaced four weeks apart. The full benefits of the treatment become apparent after the second treatment, with the skin appearing more luminous within 1-2 weeks.
The hyaluronic acid inside Profhilo can stay present in the tissues for up to a month, during which the stimulation of collagen and elastin production continues. This ensures a long-lasting, natural improvement in your skin’s appearance and texture.
How does Profhilo compare to dermal fillers?
While both Profhilo and dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, their functions and purposes differ significantly. Profhilo is a much more liquid form of hyaluronic acid, allowing it to diffuse and spread throughout the skin. In this way, it is able to hydrate and stimulate collagen production rather than adding volume like firmer hyaluronic fillers.
Profhilo vs Botox
Botox works by relaxing muscle tone, which allows the skin to heal and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. In contrast, Profhilo encourages collagen and elastin production, improving skin elasticity and hydration without impacting muscle movement.
Can Profhilo be combined with other treatments?
One of the advantages of Profhilo is its compatibility with other treatments, such as dermal fillers and Botox. By combining Profhilo with other treatments, you can augment the rejuvenating effects and achieve a more comprehensive, personalized approach to improving your skin’s appearance
Is Profhilo an alternative to Botox?
Profhilo is not necessarily an alternative to Botox as the treatments work in very different ways and produce different results. These two treatments can be effectively used in combination to help reduce the appearance of creepiness.
